The Town of Brookhaven Local Development Corporation (LDC) was established in May 2010 following the expiration of New York State’s civic facilities legislation. The goal is to facilitate financing for not-for-profit organizations such as colleges, hospitals, libraries, and those organizations serving people who are physically, developmentally or mentally disabled.
